The music was so loud, they could feel it vibrating through their bodies, and see the motion of it in their drinks. Lex scrunched up his nose and shivered from the chill in the club, before being a pain and cuddling against Nate, as he watched all the men in the club.
Nate grumbled about the music as usual, leaned close to Lex's ear as if to kiss its lobe. "I should kick yer ass for pickin' out these damned chaps. Why couldn't I just wear th’ jeans?" He demanded in a hiss.
Lex turned his head, slightly and replied in a hiss. "I didn't pick 'em out; SHE did." He managed to get out through chattering teeth. The red lace and satin tank top didn't cove much, especially considering the shorts were so damned short, and he'd wished he hadn't left his coat in Nate's car. "Next time you and her have a fight, don't come to me over it." He grumbled, snuggling against Nate more.
Nate felt him shiver violently and with a sigh he stood up and peeled off his 'new' red leather duster, setting it around Lex's shoulders, before sitting back down. He noticed several appreciative glances from some of the other men, and with a smile and a nod, he wrapped an arm around Lex's shoulders. "If ye whine it don't go with yer outfit...I'll kick yer ass." Nate said through gritted teeth and a smile.
Lex turned his head, while grabbing Nate's shirt collar and dragged him closer. "You can try." He replied in a hiss, noting there were a couple of guys watching them from near by. Lex made a show of putting his head on Nate's shoulder.
Nate chuckled and gave Lex an extra hard squeeze. "Love bug," He said loud enough for the men next to them to hear. "I'll have yer ass any time I want it." The men next to him chuckled and smiled. Nate smiled back, giving Lex another squeeze.
Lex turned his face into Nate's shoulder and actually bit it, rather then actually say anything. He tugged slightly at the leash that was clipped to his collar and wrapped around Nate's hand. He was watching two men over Nate's shoulder in particular that seemed to be watching them with interest.
Nate sucked his breath in at the bite, then chuckled and slapped Lex's ass, as good as he could while Lex was half leaning off his stool. "Watch th’ shirt...fish net snags, ya know." He said, wiggling slightly to adjust the chaps a bit more comfortably. "Ya wan' another drink?"
"Only way I'm gonna get through this." Lex replied, wrapping an arm around Nate's neck and batting his eyelashes. The two men that had been watching them, got up, and moved over to their end of the bar.
"Evening." One of them said cheerfully, his arm wrapped around the other guy. His hair was black and long and he was handsome. The other was feminine looking, but not nearly as fem as Lex. "You boys are new 'round here. Haven't seen you in the Black Cat club before." The guy said.
Nate smiled up at them, missing his hat. He had the urge to tip it in a greeting. "Not so new...just haven't been to many clubs lately...don't think we've been to this particular club, have we Love bug?" Nate asked, giving Lex's leash a playful tug.
Lex turned his head, regarding the two new comers, the one who hadn't spoken, the fem looking one, was eyeing Lex in an almost leer. "Er...no...haven't been here to the Black Cat before, huggybear." Lex purred, grinning against Nate's shoulder, curling a lock of Nate's hair around his fingers.
"You should try the Rainbow Room, though not quite as serious as the Cat here, when things really start rolling. The name's Tom and this is Justin." the man said, squeezing his mate.
Nate smiled companionably and he stood, pulling Lex up with him. He let the arm that had been around Lex's shoulder, drop to his waist and transferred Lex's leash to the hand on Lex's hip as he reached out to shake Tom's hand, ignoring Justin's. If Meeks had beat anything into his head, it was that you don't treat a sub like an equal. "Name's Nathanial... this here's Lexi."
Lex knowing his place better then anyone, leaned in against Nate, not saying anything, but smiled cheerfully; A sub didn't really speak unless spoken to, when company was talking. Tom shook Nate's hand. "Nice t' meet you. How long you two been together?" Justin seemed to be clutching at Tom possessively, but still leering at Lex.
Nate leaned back against the bar. "We met a couple months back. Been 'attached at the hips' so to say, ever since." Nate said with a leer, wiggling the leash. Tom chuckled at the joke. Lex wrapped an arm around Nate's waist and idly traced circles around his belly button with a perfectly painted red fingernail. Nate tried hard not to laugh at the tickle.
"Justin and I have been together for a couple of years." Tom said proudly, kissing Justin's temple. "Been comin' to the Cat for a couple months. Seeing as it's `party' night, you guys are in for a treat." Tom said with a wink.
Lex kept his head down, but had to raise an eyebrow, he contented himself to stay quiet, snuggling against Nate, and playing his nails up and down Nate's chest. Nate, trying desperately to ignore Lex's tickling, raised an eyebrow at Tom. "Oh, an wha' exactly does `party night' entail?" He asked finally unobtrusively giving Lex a hard pinch on the hip to discourage him from further tickling. Lex managed to stifle the yelp in Nate's shoulder and looked towards Tom with wide eyes, looking the part of an innocent sub.
Tom took a pass card from his pocket and handed it to Nate. "Rec Room, `bout midnight. That's were the 'toys' are. Only certain couples are allowed in and I think you and Lexi might enjoy it." Tom said with a smile.
Justin smiled next to him and spoke for the first time. "Maybe then I can get a taste of those perfect lips." He said to Lex, actually reaching over and tracing Lex's red painted lips.
Nate reached out and pulled Justin's hand away. "Now, Lexi here's mine. Ye don't touch another man's property unless he gives permission." He said, scowling at Justin before turning to Tom. He accepted the card from Tom and reached around Lex to tuck it into his jacket pocket. "We'll think about it Tom, thank ye."
Tom had already grabbed the leash on Justin's collar and gave him a severe cuff about the ears. Justin whimpered, but purred, batting his eyes at Tom. "Apologies Nathanial; some times Justin doesn't think before acting. Just be careful if you're still around after midnight.. seems a couple guys have turned up missing lately which is why the Rec Room is a safer place to be." Tom said with a sigh, wrapping Justin's leash a couple more times around his hand.
"Well again, thank ye Tom. If ye'll excuse us, we were about to order a couple more drinks. It was nice to meet ye both. Wasn't it, Lexi?"
Lex smiled cheerfully again and nodded. "Pleasure." He replied, starting to turn and ignore Justin's leer.
"Nice t' meet you guys, here's hopin' to see you more 'round the Cat." Tom said with a grin and a nod, taking Justin toward the dance floor.
"Lets get a booth." Lex muttered softly, glancing toward the booths that lined the walls with high backs and some privacy.
Nate leaned back and signaled the bartender for refills, then handed one to Lex and headed toward an empty booth. Lex slid in first with Nate on the outside, propping his feet up on the opposite bench. Lex leaned against Nate, letting the jacket lay on him like a blanket. "What do ye think? Do we go?"
Lex took a long drink of his rum and coke and glanced at Nate. "You have any idea what the `Rec' room probably contains?" He asked softly, one handing tugging at the red lace of the shorts lower.
Nate sighed. "Yeah, unfortunately, I believe I do...but..." He cast a glance around and didn't see anyone else watching them. "Looks like they're the only action we'll be gettin'."
Lex scratched his nose, sitting his drink down. "I suppose it wouldn't hurt to take a peek...well... it maybe traumatizing, but what other choice have we got?" He muttered. Even with his fire control, he was still cold. "Why do they have to keep these clubs so fuckin' cold?!" He complained.
Nate got a mischievous glint in his eye as he reached across Lex as if for his drink. "They keep it cold fer a very important reason. Perky nipples." He said and gave Lex's nipple a pinch through the red lace.
Lex tried to stifle the yelp and was about to slug Nate hard in the shoulder, when another couple approached. "Pardon if we're intruding." The man who spoke had a bit of an oily kind of voice. His hair was blonde, he was dressed entirely in black. The young man with him, was dressed Gothically, including the whiter skin and seemed more submissive then Lex.
Nate eyed the couple with an almost audible sigh of relief. "Not at all...can we help you?" He asked, slipping a hand down Lex's back and patting his ass through the jacket. "Behave yerself Lexine." He mumbled under his breath, just loud enough for Lex to hear it.
Lex turned his head inward, his lips right next to Nate's neck and bit, though not too hard, in reply. The couple was eyeing them, slipping into the booth. "I noticed you were chatting with Tom and his other. Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Isaac Siax. This is my slave, Morgan." Morgan nodded in silence. "And you are?"
"Nathanial and Lexi." Nate said, nodding to Lex as he took his drink “Yes, seems like a nice fellow, Tom. Invited us to play."
"Yes, Tom and Justin are quite charming. Do hope you care to join us later. But stay away from Xanatos and his two." Isaac nodded toward the far end of the bar, where a man with white hair sat, with two feminine men on either side of him. "Especially if you... love your Lexi here." Morgan smiled a bit coldly at this and Lex sank a little further down against Nate.
Nate gave Morgan a stare, not about to be intimidated. "And why's that?"
"Xanatos has...an attraction for...pretty boys. And in case you haven't noticed my friend, your Lexi is about as feminine as they come in this club. If I didn't know any better, I'd swear he was a she."
Lex groaned softly, sinking lower. He didn't need to hear that.
Nate chuckled, patting Lex's hip affectionately. "Yes, my love bug's quite a looker, isn't he? Well, thanks fer the heads up, but no one plays with my toys with out my say so." Nate said with a smug smile, taking another swallow of his drink. He felt Lex convulse in silent laughter next to him and rested his hand on his him, giving a squeeze.
Isaac was getting up, pulling Morgan's collar with out a leash. "Don't be a stranger in the Rec Room later. It should be interesting." He said with a nod.
Lex watched them leave, before muttering. "Well, that's two invites…I don't think we have a choice..." Then he socked Nate in the shoulder for earlier.
"Hey," Nate chuckled, fending off Lex's blow. "I though ye were a sub. Subs' don't hit." He couldn't stop chuckling. "Two invites, aye...but two warnings as well...this one has a face attached to it." He said, leaning back against the seat, an arm tucked behind his head, the other draped casually over Lex's hip. "So, Love bug, wha's yer vote?"
Lex finished off his drink, and wondered who was having more fun at this part, him or Nate. "You realize, of course, if we go back there, we'll have to up the act..." He said, finding the almost empty pack of cigarettes he'd stuck in Nate's coat, in the car and using the votive candle on the table to light one. He took a long drag, sitting the cigarette in the ashtray on the table and cracked his neck.
"What act, love bug?" Nate said with a grin, eyeing the white haired man at the bar, who'd turned an eye on them. Lex turned a quizzical look to Nate and Nate kissed him.
Lex's eyes widened, and he attempted to push Nate off of him. It was one thing for him to do it to Eire, when Eire asked, but this may have been a little too much for Lex… and Lex didn't need to enjoy it...He didn't think he enjoyed it...he hoped...
Nate chuckled. "Now Lex...our audience over there likes pretty boys…and like the man said, yer the prettiest one here. So how bout ye come over where he can get a better look at ye?"
Lex glared at Nate before taking another drag and snubbing out the half spent cigarette, replying, "You're enjoying this way too much..."
"Never said I didn't have a sense of humor, love bug. And I always live up to my end of a bargain."
"Fine, I'll stop complaining." Lex replied with a wicked glint in his eyes. "But you may regret this, Nate..."
Nate chuckled again, as Lex shifted on the bench, to slid across Nate's lap. "I'm sure I will, Love bug, but so will others."
Lex got an evil glint in his eye and instead of trading places with Nate, stopped and straddled him. "How's this...sugar bear...Good enough view for him?" Lex wrapped his arms around Nate's neck, snuggling. He leaned back against the table, his knees on either side of Nate's lap. If Nate wanted to play then Lex would. He leaned in close, pressing against Nate and glanced at the bar briefly, to see the white haired man watching them with interest. Turning his attentions back to Nate, he gave him a smile, running a nail down Nate's jaw line.
Nate coughed discretely, trying to ignore how much it tickled when Lex used his finger nails like that. "Lexine...it seems `yer enjoying' this a bit too much as well." Nate said, an eyebrow cocked in amusement.
Lex leaned in close, whispering in Nate's ear. "You forget, Nate... I can swing either way, and as Aiyla has pointed out in the past, it's not hard to see the appeal in you." He rested his cheek on Nate's shoulder, in a smug manner, running his fingers through Nate's hair, but his eyes met the white haired man, who gave him an amused look.
Nate saw Lex keeping an eye on their audience and waited until he snuck another glance before making his move. As Lex's head turned slightly, Nate leaned in and gave him a 'love bite'; just below the collar. Lex gave a startled yelp and spun back to face him. Nate met his startled expression with a shit-eating grin. "How do you know I don't, Lexine? I can assure you, I don't play fair, and I can sure as hell match you, dirty trick for dirty trick."
Lex reached over and tipped Nate's chin, to look him in the eye. "You couldn't handle me if you tried, Nathaniel..." He replied sweetly.
Nate smiled back. "Seems I have the upper hand so far…and since yer a sub...ya have to be real careful 'bout what exactly you do..."
Lex rested the fingers of one hand in Nate's hair and gave him a smile. "You'll buckle if we go back there. You wouldn't be able to take being that physical with me.." He replied. "You put on a good act out here, mate, but even Eire could get away with kissing me that simple."
Nate smiled as he saw Isaac and Morgan and Tom and Justin disappear. "Must be midnight, Lexi…all our new friends are leavin'..." He glanced over Lex's shoulder with a grin. "But it seems yer question is a mute point. Because we have another new friend approaching...and somehow, I don't think he wants to go play with the others."
Xanatos approached them from the bar, his two tailing discreetly behind him, both dressed in short skirts. Lex slid slowly off Nate's lap, going back to being submissive at Nate's side.
"Greetings." Xanatos said with a smile, eyeing Lex. "Welcome to the Black Cat. When Eric, the club owner is out of town, as he is tonight, I run things. I'd like to personally invite the two of you to the Rec Room and the VIP Lounge."
Nate smiled, silently cursing the smug look on Lex's face. "Actually we've already been invited...Twice." He said, swatting Lex on the ass. "Shove over love bug." Lex moved over, giving room and settled into the corner of the booth, watching Xanatos watching him.
"Well then, do come back." Xanatos said with a shifty smile, gesturing for them to come.
Nate leaned his head against the wall and smiled at Lex. "So..."
Lex grinned wickedly back at him. "Like I said, you don't have it in you..." He purred.
Nate grinned right back. "Lexine, ye have no clue what I have riding on tonight, trust me, I can get through anything." With that said, he grabbed Lex, pulling him tight against him, one hand sliding down to cup his ass, as he gave Lex a long deep kiss...the kind he normally only reserved for Aiyla.
Xanatos was watching from near by, very amused; his two slaves seemed amused as well. They snickered, huddling together behind Xanatos.
Lex fell in to the kiss, kissing him back, as much for show, as for 'other' reason. "After you, handsome." he whispered, after the kiss, noting Xanatos watching them and waiting. He was going to be amused to see if Nate could handle what was coming up.
Nate chuckled, giving Lex's ass a shove to get him off his jacket. Lex raised an eyebrow at him as he scooted across the seat and accepted Nate's hand out. Nate leaned in giving Lex's earlobe a kiss as he whispered. "Hope this is the guy we want...other wise we may have to do this again tomorrow night.
Lex let Nate take the coat, shrugging it on and held out the dropped leash, reminding Nate to take it with a look. Xanatos waited for them, an arm around both his companions. "This way." He said coyly.
~ ~
They followed Xanatos and his shadows around the dance floor and through a door marked 'private' Nate shot Lex a grin, tugging playfully on the leash until he was walking beside him. Lex grabbed Nate's arm, wrapping both his around it, staying even closer to Nate.
Xanatos stopped at a door marked 'Rec Room' and opened it. Inside were quite a lot of 'private' partying among a lot of rather S&M looking toys. "Perhaps you'd like to forego the Rec Room and have a private drink? We can chat in the VIP lounge." Xanatos said cheerfully, with a gesture down the hall, watching Lex and Nate closely.
Lex grimaced, turning his head away from the Rec Room, at certain memories, his cheek on Nate's shoulder. He was not particularly in the mood to be 'tortured' again in that fashion.
Nate tilted his toward Lex and shrugged. "It seems my sweetie here isn't feeling up to playing, just yet. Guess that drink sounds about right, though." Nate said, giving Lex a squeeze. "Still a wee sore from this afternoon, are ya hun?"
Lex gave Nate a mockingly sweet smile. "Just a little." He replied softly.
Xanatos chuckled and gestured, turning and heading down the hall to the private lounge. It was empty and done completely in black and silver with soft light. There was a bar in one corner and plenty of large couches. "Have a seat. I'm afraid I was impolite and didn't get your names out there. Mine is Xanatos, my darlings are Lea and Shelly."
Nate gave Lex a swat on the behind, shooing him toward the nearest couch. "Pleasure to meet you, I'm Nathaniel and this is Lexi." He said, sitting down on the couch and pulling Lex down onto his lap. Lex settled down comfortably on Nate's lap, giving him a wicked smirk behind Xanatos' back. Xanatos got out a bottle of champagne and five glasses.
"Usually I don't take such an interest in club guests, but the two of you struck me as... interesting. How long have you been together?"
"A couple months." Nate said, accepting a glass for each of them, handing Lex, his. "Just what about us, `interested' you more then any others?"
"Your ever-interesting affectionate nature with each other." Xanatos replied with an odd smile. "Where ever did you get those nasty scars, Lexi?" He asked, eyeing Lex's bare arms.
Lex grimaced. "Childhood accident." He replied simply.
"Is that so?" Xanatos asked, glancing at Nate, still smiling oddly.
Nate gave Xanatos a cold stare, taking a hold of Lex's arm and holding it out toward Xanatos. "If yer insinuatin' what I think you are, ye can put it out of yer mind. I don't play 'that' roughly with my 'toys'. As you can see fer yerself...they're all significantly older then a couple months.
"Indeed." Xanatos remarked, taking a drink, but his eyes were on Lex's collar and the tiny unusual lock that graced it. Lex suddenly shrank back against Nate, knowing Xanatos' look. "A most interesting collar.
"I haven't had it for long." Lex lied.
"It's not your normal submissive collar." Xanatos replied as Lea slid on to his lap, giving Lex a cold look for keeping his master's attentions. "And we all play roughly with our toys, in one way or another." Xanatos replied to Nate. “And what do you do for a living, Nathaniel?”
Lex couldn't believe the guy was interrogating them and he glanced at Nate.
Nate absentmindedly stroked Lex's shoulder as he took a drink before answering. “I'm a body guard, among other things. And you wha' do ye do when yer not lookin' after things here"
Xanatos sat down his drink and took out a cigar, one of his pets was immediately by his side with a gold lighter. "Oh, a little of this, a little of that. I'm a lawyer, I'm an investment banker, lets just say I have my hand in several cookie jars." Xanatos said with a cold smile. "And you, Lexi, or are you well taken care of enough not to have a day job?"
Lex had his cheek resting against the side of Nate's head and answered softly. "Books, I tend to rare and antique books." First thing off his head...
Nate finished off his drink and set the glass down. He leaned back and looked Xanatos in the eye, ignoring the others two. "So, is this little chat somethin' ye treat all yer guests too Or is this somthin' special fer us" He felt Lex give another shiver and frowned. He didn't think it was as cold in here as out in the bar, but he shucked out of his coat and handed it to Lex again.
Xanatos had been watching them with a non chalant interest and smiled. "Only guests I take a liking too. Count yourselves lucky."
Lex pulled the coat on and looked at Xanatos, biting his tongue to keep from popping off. He had a bad feeling about this guy… and he had a feeling Xanatos knew just what kind of collar he was wearing.
There was a knock at the door and one pets went to answer it
Nate sighed and stood up, pulling Lex up beside him. "I think we'll be goin' now. I don't rightly like yer attitude towards us, and especially towards Lexi, here. Thank ye fer the drinks. "
Xanatos stayed seated one eye on the door how ever. A security guard was standing there. "There's a problem, sir...two guests have been discovered dead..."
Lex looked at Nate, glanced at Xanatos, who was standing casually and moving past them toward the door. "Where?" Xanatos asked, his tone suddenly cold.
"A reserved room off the Rec Room, sir...they’re...it's really bloody in there..." The security guard looked nervous.
Nate gave Lex a squeeze, lightly rubbing his shoulder in a comforting way. "In tha' case, we'll definitely be goin'. Lexi doesn' do well at the sight of blood." Nate said and taking the end of the leash in one hand and leaving the other wrapped around Lex's shoulder, he walked towards the door. He stopped in front of the guard who refused to budge. “Are ye gonna move or not? By the sounds of it, ye've got better things to do then block doorways to people who've got yer bosses presence as an alibi."
"Let them by." Xanatos snapped, before wisking out of the door and down the hall, his pets right behind them. The security guard stepped by and Nate and Lex followed Xanatos, on the way to the main door to the club. Lex glanced toward the room that had people milling around outside of it and saw quite a lot of the blood on the walls as well as the bodies of Tom and Justin. Xanatos ordered the security to start clearing away the people, but he turned and looked at Nate and Lex with cold eyes as they passed by
Nate ignored Xanatos, catching a good glimpse of the room as they passed. He felt Lex deflate in a sigh as they reentered the bar and felt like giving a sigh himself. "Guess this means we'll be comin' back, then, eh Love bug"
Lex screwed the collar around with an irritated jerk, wanting nothing more then to leave for the night. "Can't wait." He muttered sarcastically. "Lets book it before Xanatos shows up again...I don't like him...he's more then he's playing at..."
"Oh I agree totally with ye on that... bugger gives me the willies." Nate said, steering them past the bar and towards the door. An odd feeling made him look up just in time to see Isaac and Morgan head through the door, Morgan turned and seemed to zero in on them just before he vanished.
"Did you see that" Lex asked Nate.
"Ye mean the creepy look that Morgan bastard shot us before he vanished ? Yeah... I did." He quickened their pace to the door, hoping to catch sight of them on the street.....
The two had completely vanished by the time Nate and Lex got outside, which was oddly quick. "Fast bastards aren't they..." Lex muttered, glancing around. They heard sirens in the distance, meaning some one inside had called the cops. "I certainly hope Eire's having a better time then we are..." Lex said with a sigh.

Eire rolled his shoulders, definitely not liking the way the coat felt... it looked like a cross between a Circus Ring Master's coat and something Anne Rice would pick out for her characters... and the hat. Let's not forget the hat. He'd knocked it off twice already on the way here. Xander stifled a snigger as Eire held his hat on as they walked in the door. He stifled an aggravated sigh and gently placed a 'helping' hand on Xander's back... Xander miscalculated his step, stumbled slightly in the outrageously tall heels and gave Eire a look, before snatching the hat and putting it back on Eire's head. "Leave the hat on, you're less likely to be noticed." He said with an all too innocent smile. Eire did his best to talk through a painful looking smile." I can live with the hat I guess.... at least it won't make me break my neck..." He 'guided' Xander towards the bar. "Are you going t’ survive the night in those things?" Xander slid onto a stool with grace and kicked his feet a moment. "You'd be surprised." He winked a long lash at Eire. Already a couple guys were looking their way. Eire signaled the bartender then glanced around the room. "Oh yeah… we fit right in... not gonna attract ANY attention at all..." He said in a snide half whisper. "Do YOU see anyone in the place aside from ME with PINK hair?!? The clothes, with the exception of the coat and hat, I can live with. Even the makeup I can deal with, but ... PINK HAIR?!" Xander reached over and ruffled said pink hair with a grin. "I don't know, kinda looks charming on you." He batted his eyes and crossed his legs, leaning on the bar. "Besides, I saw what the other two were wearing." Xander's grin increased a notch Eire raise a newly pierced eyebrow. “Really? Worse then us? Please tell me they got it worse..." He ordered a beer then glanced around the bar as Xander ordered his, searching for a certain redhead and 'date'... Xander ordered a cherry vodka and glanced around himself, answering Eire. “Chaps, man..." He gave Eire a pointed look and saw the white haired man at the corner of the bar with two 'pets' watching some one in a booth. Xander glanced that way and had to hide his snicker in his drink. Eire almost choked on his beer. "Chaps? On who?!" He caught a glimpse of Lex sitting on top of a lap. "Well... Lex is definitely not wearing ‘em... poor kid...who picked that out for him?" Xander lit a cigarette and looked at Eire with an amused look. "Who else, Eire? Who picked out your outfit, hmm? She said something about having something much more wicked planned for him if they have to come back. Is it just me, or is he enjoying himself?" Xander asked, with a half sneer, half snicker. "Wouldn't put it past him…" Eire muttered into his beer. "So..." he said trying NOT too look at where his friends were sitting. "Anybody catch your eye? As a suspect, I mean.." Xander covered up his snickering by taking another drag and looked at Eire for a long time, doing nothing but grinning. "No...you?" "Not really... although the white haired dude is really checking them out. Hold on.." he said, noticing two men approaching the booth. "They've got company..." Xander eyed the two men. "Right...that one's creepy." He said of the silent gothic looking one. He tapped the ashes off his cigarette and realized the guy beside them, was looking at him. Xander turned his eyes to the guy. "Yes?" He asked simply Eire didn’t bother trying to hear what the guy said, but he saw the attempt to unobtrusively slide his hand over Xander’s thigh... He wasn't sure whether he should be a gentleman and 'rescue' Xander from the man's attentions.. or thoroughly enjoy it and die laughing... Xander leaned on his elbow on the bar and smiled coldly, glanced at the man's hand, then said quite cheerfully. "It’s not nice to touch a lady when she doesn't want to be toughed..." The man's hand slid higher and he just grinned cheekily. Deciding he should stick to his cover as much as possible, Eire choked back his laughter and reached over, grabbing the man’s hand and squeezing. He smiled up at the man's shocked look. "No touchy." The man jerked his hand out of Eire's grip with a scowl, sniffed and slid off his stool, drink in hand in search of someone else to annoy... Xander turned to face Eire for a moment, with an amused smile. Then he reached and grabbed Eire's shirt front. "Aww… thanks for saving me, tough guy." He dragged Eire closer and pecked him on the lips, before winking. Some one chuckled from behind them, amused. Eire squashed his impulse to jerk away and growl and instead smiled cheekily and swatted Xander’s thigh. "No problem, sugar.. that's what I'm here for." He took a good swallow of his drink, and turned his attention towards Nate and Lex's table to avoid seeing the smug look on Xander's face. The men they'd seen approaching had left and he noticed White Hair and crew from further down the bar had left their seats and were heading in that direction. "Busy table." He nodded towards them. Xander took a drag off his cigarette and glanced in the direction of the other table. "Yeah well," He said a bit sullenly. "Lexine almost ALWAYS gets more attention..." "Awww are ye jealous, Xan? " Eire mock-pouted, patting him on the shoulder. "Are ye jealous of Lex getting the attention... or getting Nate..?" "Hell, Eire, I figured the jealous one was you..." Xander smiled mockingly, but annoyed. But he didn't miss Nate kissing Lex, and he scowled openly. He muttered something under his breath, that MIGHT have been the world 'tramp' Eire quickly glanced back over to see what he'd missed that has sparked such a sour look from Xander, but all he saw was the five men talking. Then he saw Lex and Nate slide out of the booth. He signaled the bartender for a refill on their drinks. "So... where do you think they're headed?" Xander nodded his head over his shoulder toward a door marked VIPs. "Private party rooms... Judging by the fact that guy with the white hair, didn't pay his bar bill, he's probably very important 'round here." Xander said, still a bit sourly and looked toward the dance floor. Eire noticed his look and sour mood. “I am NOT dancing. Grab someone else." He said, watching them vanish through the door before turning his attention to the other couples heading towards the doors. He couldn't shake the sight of Lex in the red lace or Nate in that god awful red coat... thankfully it covered the chaps.... Xander looked back at him. "Fine." He said, he snubbed out his cigarette, finished off his drink and got up off the stool quite well in the very high heels and headed for the dance floor, intent to leave Eire to the man that was leering at him from behind. Eire watched Xander walking and noticed several guys head after him. He snorted, thinking that he was suddenly walking very well in heels.. too well. He must have plenty of prior experience in them… especially if he's planning on actually dancing in them.
Eire gave a jump, loosing his train of though, as he felt a hand on his thigh. He turned a glare at the man on the far side of him. The man, in his mid twenties with short cropped black hair, smiled somewhat nervously at the glare. Eire raised an eyebrow at him. "Yeah?"
The young man removed his hand, but leaned forward over the bar a bit more, holding out his hand. "I'm Tig."
Eire eyed the hand for a moment, then clasped it in his own briefly. "Hey, Tig. Nice." He said, nodding to the serpent hanging from his eyebrow ring.
Tig fingered the snake charm and smiled, and Eire noticed a small clicking noise. Apparently Tig had a tongue piercing and kept clicking it against his teeth. He turned to check on Xander and after a moment gave up. "Sorry to disappoint you, Tig, but I'm with someone... he just went off to dance." "The drag queen...I know." Tig replied. "Don't get a lot of drag queens in here...bound to be noticed."
~
Xander slid in through the masses on the dance floor. Men moved to let him by, though a few tried to grope. He turned his head over his shoulder to see Eire and the guy at the bar talking and snickered. He played slut and purposely slid through a couple who were dancing close, making his way to the other end of the dance floor and slid into a chair at a small table in the shadows, set about for the dancers, turning his eyes back to watch the dance floor. He sat silently, legs crossed and playing the game of trying to guess about the men on the dance floor, their personalities. He hadn't seen any one who fit the Killer's MO.
~
Eire slide off his stool, drink in hand. Tig got to his feet beside him. Eire sighed and turned to face him. Tig held up his free hand. "I know.. you're with someone... Look, in case you haven't noticed, there's not a lot of Goths or punks here tonight... I'm feeling a bit... out of place. Mind if I hang with you for a bit? No more moves, I promise... unless you make them." he added with a wink. Eire shrugged. "I'm gonna go find my date. Tag if you want to Tig. Just don't get in my way." Tig trailed after Eire, who made his way around the outside of the dance floor looking for Xander. Xander was still sitting at a table in the far corner, the only other drag queen in the place sitting there as well. "They've been closing clubs down all over town, thanks to these...murders." She was telling Xander, the black lights from the dance floor causing her hair to glow. Tig caught the statement and agreed. "Man..... those are nasty.. and yet this place has been the site of a couple and it's still open!" The drag queens turned to look at them. Eire moved around to stand behind Xander, leaning forward resting his arms on the back of Xander's chair. Tig moved behind the other drag queen and leaned against the wall "Oh, that's because of Xanatos." The drag queen, whose name was Jasmine, said. "Man's slippier then an eel."
"He owns the Cage?" Xander asked, pretty sure he'd met the white haired man before.
"He owns a lot of things." Jasmine said. "Including a couple straight clubs. But he doesn't OWN this one..."
Eire blew at a chunk of Xanders hair that kept tickling his nose. "Then why is it open because of him if he doesn't own it.?" Eire asked, finally reaching out to smooth down the annoying hair. Xander felt his hand on his head and leaned back to look up at him. Eire grinned down at him and pushed his head upright again. This wasn't so bad... at least standing behind him, he didn't have to look at him.. easier to keep a straight face when he didn't have to see the bright red lipstick and pink streaks... not to mention the clothes.... Xander snaked his arm up around behind him and around Eire's neck, running his fingers over it, tickling his neck. "Probably because there are some high political officials that come here, for the Rec. Room in the back...One tonight, Tom Carmichael and his lover Justin." Jasmine said, taking an elegant drink from her glass.
"I saw 'em on the dance floor a while ago.. and at the bar." Tig said with a nod Eire ignored Xander's tickling fingers as much as he could. "Rec room? I so do NOT want to know, do I?" He asked Xander.
Xander smirked shaking his head no, then turned to the other two and stage whispered. "He prefers 'privacy'...." he added a wink and received a chuckle from Jasmine.
Tig just flicked his tongue stud between his lips and sucked on it, eyeing Eire thoughtfully. "You know.. I don't believe I ever caught your names... I'm Tig, by the way." he said, introducing himself to Xander and Jasmine "Jasmine Tea. Sassy and I here are old friends." She gave both Tig and Eire a smile and winked at Xander. Xander had to grin back.
"Sassy?" Tig asked. "Me." Xander answered. "You can call me Sas for short if you like." He winked, and laced his fingers through Eire's hair. Jasmine looked like she was trying not to laugh. Eire had a sudden sneaking suspicion that Jasmine knew all about him. He then noticed that the other's were looking at him. A Name.. damn .. why didn't he think of a name... Eire would certainly go with the look, but it was rather... unique and might be recognized... With a smirk, he tipped his top hat. "I'm Xander." Jasmine hid her smirk. But Xander tightened his fingers in Eire's hair, while still managing to smile. "Nice to meet you, Xander. I knew another Xander once..." Jasmine said. "Couldn't quite live up to the name..." Her amber colored eyes sparkled as she looked at Xander. Xander gave her a quick look.
"So, you're both drag queens?" Tig asked.
"*I* am...Sassy's in training." Jasmine answered while batting her eyelashes at Tig Eire twitched, catching his hat as Xander's fingers knocked it loose. He set it on Xander's head, twining his fingers with Xander's ... gently trying to pry the death grip he had on his hair. Suddenly Eire moved, knocking the hat onto the table and spilling Xander's drink.
"Hey! Wha..?"
"Something's going on.... " Eire said, staring intently at the closed door leading to the back rooms. He listened intently to the faint sounds of screams until they got loud enough that others in the bar began to turn, glancing nervously at the door. "Just the Rec Room." Tig said from his spot.
Eire turned from the other two, his nose twitching. He was beginning to smell blood. Xander heard Jasmine click her tongue. "Another one...I'm outta here." She stood up, then leaned close to Xander, spoke loud enough only for Eire and Xander to hear. "See the service door behind us? It leads into the hall around the corner from the Rec. Room and VIP lounge. If you're caught back there, here." She slid Xander a pass. "And Sassy, honey, next time you wanna play drag queen. Come to me for lessons." She patted Xander on the head with a grin, kissed him on the cheek, winked at Eire and started for the man door, walking like a real woman. Eire smirked at Jasmine's comment and watched him leave. "I like him.. err.. her...shit.. come on!" He hauled Xander to his feet. Tig started to come around the table towards them. Eire held up a hand. "No. You stay put... or better yet, get out of here. Someone else just got killed back there..." Xander watched Jasmine leave and smirked himself. "She's somethin' else. I'll tell ya 'bout her later." He turned and looked at Tig. "Best follow Jasmine sweety...it's gonna get bad 'round here."
~ ~ They had just reached the service door when the main door opened and people started to slip out. Most of them in tears or terrified. Eire looked to Xander. "Do we split up? One watch this door incase the killer slips out this way or do we stick together? " He asked, already deciding they should stick together. "Never mind that.. let's just...." The service door suddenly swung open, almost catching Xander in the face, sending him stumbling back into Eire. Morgan came through the door, appearing a bit on the shaken side. His voice was very soft spoken, but he said quickly. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry!" He made an effort to touch Xander's arm, and when he did, Xander looked up sharply, catching Morgan's eye. Morgan seemed to guess what Xander knew and his gaze narrowed in a cold leer before he was gone, heading for the main door. Eire ignored the young man that came stumbling through the door, his attention focused on the other door. As soon as the young man was out of the way, Eire grabbed Xander's arm and dragged him through the service door. Xander grabbed the door frame, while saying. "Will you WAIT a second!" He growled, pulling on Eire to stop. At the other end of the hall, at that moment, the white haired man, came marching out, going straight. He was followed by a security guard, then Nate and Lex. Eire whirled around, searching the room for what had caught Xander's attention. Spotting Nate and Lex heading for the door, he turned to Xander. " Doesn't look like they caught him... the ball's in our court! What are we waiting around for?! He could still be in here!" "Well that's just the point, Eire! Cause I think he just left!" Xander hissed in reply, watching Nate and Lex disappear. Eire spun on his heel, looking towards the main door. "What?! Shit! This is so not my night..." "So do we check out the back and leave the front to them? Or do we take the front? "Either way, we gotta move." Xander replied, seeing a security guard turning the corner. He grabbed Eire's arm and hastily began guiding him back through the service door. "Thought you didn't want to go this way." Eire said, moving ahead of Xander, who carefully eased the door shut so it didn't slam and attract attention. Eire searched the air for any signs. "Damn .... between the smell of blood and this makeup..... " "There's nothing more we can do here tonight, Eire..." Xander replied, looking about the room. He thought he saw the other two heading for the main door but with so many people pushing it was hard to tell. Eire sighed and kicked at the wall... "Damn .... out the back? Or would that look too much like we were hiding something.?" Eire leaned forward to peek through the crack in the door Xander was holding. "It'd be some what of a crush to get through that way..." Xander shut the door and turned. "Out the back." He said with a nod. "Lets see if we can get out of here with out getting caught, I don't feel like spending the night in a jail ceil dressed like this." He remarked. "Aww. Where's your sense of adventure, Sassy?" Eire quipped with a wicked grin as they half ran in search of that exit sign. Spotting it at last they sprinted the last bit. Eire turned to Xander. "Might be an alarm... get ready to run..." "My sense of adventure ended with the dead body bit." Xander replied, leaning up against the wall and undoing the buckles on the shoes. Eire gave him a look. "Can't run in them." Xander hissed, starting to yank at the shoes since the buckle didn't want to go "You managed that last little bit not too bad." Eire said tipping his head back toward the hall.
Xander grimaced. "And my feet are dying a slow and painful death, believe me. Smooth floors to... I try and tackle a parking lot, you'll be carrying me." He finally yanked the shoe free, the strap snapping just behind the buckle. "Damn! Candy's gonna kill me...." "Lets just go..."
"After you." Xander replied, taking off the other shoe and carrying them. "Go already!" Xander hissed, shoving Eire with a shoe. He looked over his shoulder to see if any one was coming. Eire slammed against the bar, popping the door open, already sprinting across the back lot aiming for the car. He was half way there when he realized there'd been no alarm. He skidded to a stop, and turned to find Xander, who was hot-footing across the pavement in his stalking feet, wincing at almost every step, but still keeping a good pace. "No alarm..." He said, scanning the back of the building people were starting to flow around the far corner heading for the cars parked back here. Eire opened the door and slid in at the same time Xander reached his side. "I'm driving.... hurry up and get in." Xander sputtered, then glanced over his shoulder at the crowd, spotting a security guard at the back door.
"Damn it..." he growled and hopped into the back seat right behind Eire. "Go go go." Eire pulled out of the parking lot and hit the main street. "It was a silent alarm, or we were spotted." Xander said, glancing in the mirror. "The goth guy, who was coming out of the service door when we were going in, was a vampire." Xander told Eire, before climbing into the front passenger's seat from the back. "Damn! Why didn't I catch that! Shit....." Eire glanced back a few time to make sure they weren't being followed, even though Xander was keeping watch. "Ah FUCK! " Eire suddenly shouted, slamming his hand against the steering wheel.
Xander whipped around. "What?!"
Eire glared into the rearview mirror at the club vanishing behind them. "This means we have to do this shit all over again...." Xander groaned and rolled his eyes. "You knew there was the possibility of that, Eire." "You're telling me you're looking forward to going back to Candy for more shoes?" "Candy's gonna kill me over this one any how." Xander said holding up the broken shoe. "It was, after all on loan. How does Lex get away with out being warned not to RUIN anything?!" Xander tossed the shoe to the floor board. "Lex is Lex. Deal." Eire said and gave a sigh as he turned off the street they were on, heading back to Headquarters. He couldn't stop a smirk from escaping as he caught a glimpse of Xander sulking in his seat. Trying out his best 'gay imitation', Eire waved his hand." But you looked FABulous, tonight, lovey! Really… out shone EVERYone.!" Xander snorted, and looked at Eire. "Careful Eire, or some one's gonna wonder 'bout you." He said in mock seriousness. "After all, it definitely wasn't me, jealous back there at the bar..." He grinned cheerfully. "Xander, when it comes t’ Lex... yer ALWAYS jealous... and I was trying t’ pay ye a compliment. And if ye hadn't noticed, this was the first time we've been around each other when it didn't wind up with me wanting t’ kill ye... But I guess I thought THAT too soon..." Eire growled turning his attention back to the road, making another turnoff. He could see the warehouse district just ahead "Really Xander.... just when ye start to act human .......... ye turn back into an ass...." Xander rolled down the window on his side, amused and lit a cigarette. "Be honest Eire. Even if I did act human, you still wouldn't like me. And for your information, the compliment was duly noted, but just because I CAN pull of the outfit, doesn't mean I like wearing it, k?" Eire snorted. "Whatever." He reached over and flipped open the glove box, narrowly missing smashing Xander’s knees, and grabbed the remote. He thumbed the switch and tossed it on the dash, driving through when the door was barely up enough to clear the car. With quick, angry jerking movements, he switched off the ignition, pocketed the keys and slammed the door shut. He didn't wait for Xander at the elevator, but headed up, leaving Xander standing beside the car.
