The Family by Ruex & Skye

The zombies came up from no where, grabbing and snatching at his suit pants legs. Alexander Knight scrambled to get away from the decaying hands, and tumbled backwards, where the hands managed to get a tighter hold on him. They began to lift him up, as the bodies that were the masters to the dead hands rose from the ground as well.
Then one of the zombies spun him around and he spied the five figures striding toward him. The one in the middle was the one controlling the zombies. Dark violet eyes crackled with power, the blue streaked hair that hung in the front, framing the murderously wicked expression. Slim twin swords resting at either side.
"Alright, tell them to put him down, Cal." The young man on the far right said. His wild black hair was being rustled by an invisable wind, and his eyes were crackling with a violent blue energy, his hands crackled with the same energy.
"Yeah, the sooner we kill them, the better." The second young man said. He wasn't as tall as the rest of the young men, and his hair was a dark silverish color, and his eyes were a greenish color. He was holding a pair of slim deadly looking short blades.
"We can't kill him, until we know where mum is." The third taller young man said. His hair was as long as the one in the middle's, but only a dark brown, and his eyes were green. He had a wicked looking gun resting at his side.
"Kill him, we'll still find her." Came the soft voice of the young woman at the end of the line. Her hair was dark, almost black, with neon blue streaks. She was dressed darkly with a lot a leather.
"Gods, you're violent." The guy next to her said, glancing over.
"Can it, Summer." The young man with silver hair snapped from his place.
"Okay, that's it, Teir, Summer, Winter, go back over there." The young man who was obiviously fae said.
"I want to help!" Teirnan replied with a slight whine. Summer grabbed his sleeve. Winter went exchanged a look with the silent young man and the one who'd spoken and went with out a word. Summer dragged Teirnan behind him away from them.
The fae young man, turned to the silent young man who was controling the zombies. "I'd rather not them wintess this, Cal." He said, looking at his brother. "Can you get any thing out of him?"
Cal raised his eyes, to look at his eldest brother a moment, Dion stared straight back at him. "Fuckin' right I can. And will." Cal replied softly. He turned back to the man the zombies where holding, a black mist starting to swirl around his feet. Dion watched his middle brother. Cal was the middle child, and while all five siblings had fantastic relationships with their parents, Cal was closest to their father, rather the fact that Cal looked almost exactly like Matt Hogan, or their personalities were so close.
They all knew how their parents had almost lost Cal, when he was six months and that there would have been a good chance they wouldn't have had their middle brother. And the tattoo that was on his back when their father rescused him.
But considering Cal's unique abilities, Dion had the opinion the tattoo had something to do with it. That and Cal was Matt and Saffron's FIRST biological child together. Gwyndion 'Dion' Alexis Sirius Hogan's birth parents were Matt's brother and Saffron's ex, Dion had been adopted basically. And Teirnan Richard Hogan's father was Eire Montgomery.
Then there was Caleb Lucian Hogan , who was born a minute before midnight on December 31st. Two years later, Summer Ryn Hogan was born on the first day of Summer. Four years after Summer, Winter Soliel was born in Mexico on November 2nd. Together, they made up the Hogan kids.
And their father had taught them all how to fight, they all knew how to use their abilities. Dion had studied with his grandfather, both of them, though he perfered Rin to Estehl any day. Teirnan had learned as much as he could from their father, but when Teirnan came into his wolf abilities, he met his real father. They got along alright, but Teir still considered Matt his father.
Cal learned almost all of his abilities from both their parents, his abilities starting out so similiar to both Matt and Saffron's. Cal was a rare Hell elemental, with unusual control of the dead. Then the other abilities started manifesting. Cal was still learning those.
Summer had inherited a good bit of fae blood, but he had stronge natural skill with magic, especially blood magic. He'd studied under their Uncle Nate, and their mother's godmother. And Winter a shadow elemental with some skill over the dead.
Tier, Summer and Winter stood in a small group back near the house, watching the figures of their two brothers, who seemed most in lead of the group, and the man who'd tried to attack the house. Winter turned a way with a wince at the sight of blood, she hated to imagine what Cal was doing.
"I'm going back inside." Summer announced, turning and heading into the house. Teir planted himself on the bench against the wall, Winter set down beside. They said nothing, looking at anything but the three far off from the cemetery.
After a bit of time, Teirnan looked up, to see Dion and Cal coming back toward the house, with out the other man. He didn't see a body and shook his head, Cal no doubt got rid of the evidence.
"Did he say anything useful?" Winter asked as Dion and Cal got there.
"Nothing we didn't already know..." Dion answered.
"What'd you do with the body?" Tiernan asked despite himself, eyeing Cal.
Cal opened his mouth to answer, when a rift a few feet from them suddenly opened up. A rift that was slightly damaged, by the look of things. "Don't push, Caleb! Damn it!" A young woman fell out of the rift, followed by another young woman and two young men.
Cal's sword swung around, but was stopped by a simple blade and Cal stared at it's own. It was basically looking in the mirror for Cal, except...some how he knew, the young man he was seeing, was far more advanced in his abilities, and a few years older then Cal's 19. He was more muscular then Cal, and his hair was a bit past the shoulders, with the blue streaks in the front. And the violet eyes were more intense.
Winter had come up from the bench, while Teirnan was glaring, his own weapons drawn. The young woman, a few years older then Winter's sixteen years, was a little taller then Winter, a little more mature, and a faint swell to her belly. But she was obiviously Winter.
The guy helping her up, had white hair and it was him Teirnan was glaring at. "Oh...I think something went wrong..." The young woman who looked exactly like Winter said softly.
"Well the cat's out of the bag now." The young man with the sword said, and he lowered it, eyeing Cal. "How old are you kid?" He asked.
Cal blinked, and surprised himself, by answering. "19. You're me, aren't you." He replied, lowering his own sword.
"Yeah, from another dimension. I'm Caleb. 24." He replied.
Cal, Winter, Teirnan and Dion looked at each other a moment. Dion took a step forward, eyeing all four of the new comers. "Caleb," He pointed at the 24 year old. "You must be Winter...definitly older then sixteen."
The young woman who looked just like Winter, glanced at him, then back at her double and nodded. "I'm 19. You can call me Win or Winnie." She said.
"Win, right." Dion said, before turning his eyes on the other young woman.
"This is Tamara." Win said. "And this Dante." She added to the guy next to her.
Dion nodded again. "I'm Dion, that's Cal, Teirnan and Winter." He said by way of introduction. "Our brother Summer's in the house."
Win blinked, "You're all Hogan kids?" She asked.
"Who else would we be?" Winter asked in reply with a sniff.
Dante gave a soft snort at that, his eyes travelling over the group, not failing to notice the looks he was getting from the brothers as he stepped up to Winter's side and pulled her against him possessively. "Hmm... four boys and one girl... " he said softly. "still an heir short..." he added, breaking into a grin. "Remind me to mention this to dear 'dad', precious... you know how he's been going on about being a father of three... this'll floor him.."
Tam gave a soft sigh and reached over to smack Dante in the shoulder. "Torturing your in laws is not the way to go, Tay.." she said, stepping closer to Cal as her eyes shifted back to his younger self.
Winter snorted softly, and turned her head enough to give her husband an amused look. "Well at least in this world, he doesn't have to worry about his daughter marrying you." She replied with a smirk.
"Wait, you're married?!" The young Winter exclaimed. "And you're only 19?! There's no way in hell my father would allow me to get married at 19."
Win smirked. "Well that's because I'm having his baby." She replied, watching the sixteen year old's eyes widen. "And I love him."
Caleb wrapped an arm around Tamara's waist, securely, knowing Win was having fun shocking everyone. "So...I take it we interrrupted something..." Caleb said, looking at Cal. "You just killed some one..."
Cal snorted, glancing back toward the field. "Needed to die anyway. Just didn't get any information out of him and we still have to find our parents. "
"They're missing?" Caleb asked.
"Missing is an understatement..." Dion said. "We know they dumped dad some where, probably recovering from some injury...but they've taken our mum some where..." He added.
Win was rubbing her stomach, frowning slightly, a faint irritation she felt coming from the baby. Only three months along, the baby had a strong aura already. She and Dante had only been married three weeks before, they'd agreed to help Caleb and Tamara with finding something, and some how managed to end up in the wrong dimension.
"Why don't we go inside." Dion said, nodding to the patio door. It was still the church, but it'd definitely been enlarged, a couple of more rooms added to the ground level and Win and Caleb had the feeling there was more to the basement.
Teirnan and his sixteen year old sister, were already going inside. Cal and Dion were waiting for the other four.
Tam smirked softly as she watched the younger Winter then shot her friend a look. "Stop giving her ideas... " she said softly as they headed past. "She's only sixteen... Just because you're parents survived you getting knocked up and married at nineteen, doesn't mean they'd survive it any younger..."
Dante gave a short cackling giggle then shut up at the look Caleb shot him as they passed by. He tightened his arms around Winter and kissed her neck. "You alright, babe?" he asked softly. "The kids not making you sick again, is he?"
Winter leaned back against Dante and smirked faintly. "Oh, I don't think he agreed with the rift. Seems a bit irritated, rather then making me sick." She said, watching the younger Winter disappear inside, along with the others, content to stand outside a moment.
"It's odd." She said when it was just her and Dante. "She's not a soul summoner, she has no ability to control demons...a bit of dead, but no demons. No, instead...it's HIM; this world's Caleb that has that ability. He just hasn't... gotten a hold on it yet..."
Dante snorted softly. "Told you, baby... only one of MY Win..." he said, kissing her neck. "Guess you'll want to give your new twin brother some pointers on the fine art of soul manipulation..." he asked with a low chuckle.
Winter smirked faintly, reaching up behind her and touching Dante's cheek, then snorted softly. "Oh, I'm sure he could do with a few pointers." She said, her eyes sparkling. "Shall we go inside, so you get to meet the two new brothers? Maybe this Summer will like you a little more." She added, smirking more.
Dante snorted, smirking softly. "Oh.. I don't know... the lot of them are already glaring daggers at me. Knocking up their baby sister seems to have me on their shit list.. and gee.. they even got to meet me fully clothed..." he added with another giggle.
"Well if it makes you feel any better, darling, you certainly made an impression on my parents back home." Winter replied, turning in Dante's arms to face him. She loved being married to Dante, and though she'd been nervous and scared at first over the idea of having his baby, she'd quickly fell in love with her unborn child. Their unborn child. She was thinking of asking Tamara and Caleb to be god parents.
~~
Tam looked around the room as they followed the two siblings, trying not to look back to see if the other Caleb was following. She found it rather strange.. or stranger than normal, any how, to be this close to a double. Or maybe it was that this was the first 'other' Caleb they'd come across since they'd become lovers. Not to mention the one closest in age to 'her' Caleb...
Caleb looked around the kitchen, which had obviously been enlarged, as they entered, then jumped, catching sight of the little ghost girl in the corner. She was looking at them critically.
"Oh don't worry about her." Dion said. "That's our adopted sister, Annie. Mum and dad adopted her from England."
"Mum and dad might not be to happy about what the lot of you have been up to." Annie replied, planting her little fists on her hands. Dion smirked faintly.
Caleb caught his younger self, eyeing Tamara from where he was standing and Caleb tightened his arm around her, possessively.
Tam raised an eyebrow at the ghost as he leaned against Cal, smiling softly as she wrapped her own arm around him. "Why doesn't that surprise me..? Dante's going to love teasing your dad even more now... five kids wasn't enough he had to adopt a sixth..." She looked up at him, her eyes sparkling. "Hell.. my dad would love to tease him about it... doesn't matter that the Matt in our world doesn't have any kids at all... That just makes it even better..."
"Yet." Caleb replied with a slight smirk, holding Tamara. After visiting his parents, and introducing them to Tamara, he had found out, his mother was expecting, after all this time. He eyed Annie. "Where they'd find you?"
"Haunting a castle they were sent to on a case." Annie answered. "She was pregnant with Teirnan, and they hadn't seen each other for five months. But they were still in love with each other. " Annie added with a giggle. Dion and the young Caleb rolled their eyes.
Caleb blinked. "Pregnant with Teirnan..." He echoed.
"Yeah, technically Matt Hogan isn't my real dad, not that it matters," Teirnan replied. "Cause he raised me. But my real dad's Eire Montgomery."
Caleb blinked, taken by surprise.
"Well I'm technically adopted." Dion put in, Caleb looked at him. "If you're going by blood, Matt Hogan is actually my uncle, but mum was married to my real mother, when mum was still a boy. Eh, it's confusing, but doesn't really matter. Mum had legal custody of me, and dad adopted me when I was two, so." Dion added.
Tam laughed softly. "Oh.. we SO can not let Dante know this... he would have way too much fun and your father.. any of them, just would not handle it well." she said then frowned. "Wait a sec... you said your dad was by blood your uncle??" she asked Dion, then glanced up at Caleb. "I thought your dad was an only child? I don't recall ever coming across a sibling... well…. No.. he had a sister that once…"
Caleb frowned, "As far as I know, he is an only child..." He started to answer, but Dion cut him off half way through.
"That would be Landan." Dion said, sitting down in a chair at the table. The sixteen Winter was already at the table, and Teirnan took another chair.
Caleb's eyebrow shot up. "Landan!? LANDAN?!"
"Half brother," Dion said with a nod. "Older. Rin's first son." Dion said. "Dad can't stand him, probably like to kill him. He's tortured mum. Raped her I think..."
"She was still a boy at the time." Annie said. "Just before she went back to Ireland and changed."
"Landan is his brother..." Caleb repeated, feeling sick at the thought.
~~
Tam paled considerably, the freckles standing out even more against her skin. "Shit... " she said softly then frowned slightly. "Although... that sort of makes sense.... If it's the same in your world... and he knows... That would explain WHY he was involved in trying to kill you..." she said softly. "But still... eww.. I'm sorry, Cal.. you have my condolences... you've got a sick twisted relative that ranks right up there with mine. What is it about us that drives relatives to try to kill us...?"
"Who's trying to kill you?" Dante asked as they entered the kitchen in time to over hear Tam's comment. "And hey... I'm the king of surviving murder plots by family..." he added with a smirk.
Caleb snorted, eyeing Dante. "Gotta concede to that point, babe." He said to Tam with a weary smirk. "Dante's got us beat there..." He added, "Hey sis, Landan is our uncle." He added.
Winter blinked. "Landan!? Landan as in Landan the social psychotic? The bastard who stalks our mother?"
"And rapes her." Caleb added.
"And rapes her, and generally make Ravenscourt look sane?" Winter replied, before wincing. "Great, lovely."
"I hate to interrupt," Came Summer's voice as he came into the kitchen. "But as anyone put any more thought into finding dad and mum?" He asked with a look, before eyeing the four new comers. "What the fuck?!"
"Oh sorry, this is Caleb and Winter, from another dimension, and Tamara, who's obviously Caleb's girlfriend, and Dante, Winter's husband." Dion said by way of introductions. "And no, we haven't forgotten about mum and dad. We're just waiting to hear from Marilee about dad.." He added, glancing at Annie.
"Umm.. actually... I'm Caleb's fiancee..." Tam said, blushing brightly. She still couldn't get used to the little rush that saying that sent through her, and it had been almost three months. She wondered how much more it was going to hit her when they finally decided to get married? "Hi.. nice to meet you..." she said to Summer. "Again..."
Dante just grinned and tightened his hold on Winter, his hand going to rest on the slight swell of her stomach, drawing the siblings attention and dark looks once again. "Ooo..." he said softly. "I feel so loved..."
Winter couldn't help but laugh softly, letting her own hand rest on Dante's.
"You'll have to excuse Dante," Caleb said, "He's still having to much fun as a newly wed, shocking people. And it's only even more fun for him considering he knocked her up the night they met."
Summer seemed to gape at him at that, before giving the sixteen Winter, a look, as if to say not even to think about. "What?!" She replied. "It's not like I'm going to run out and get knocked up...though he's not bad looking." She said, eyeing Dante.
Dante grinned even more then snorted softly. "Oh fucking relax already .. she was a virgin." he said lightly. "It's not like she was a slut or anything..."
Tam groaned, burying her face in Cal's shirt. "Let me know when the blood shed stops." she said softly.
"Oh thank you very much, Dante, luv. Yus, that helped very much." Winter replied, giving her husband and amused look. She was aware almost everyone else was gaping. Except Dion, who started snickering. It was the UnSeelie in Dion that found it funny.
Caleb sighed, tightening his arms around Tamara. "Anyway, maybe we should give you a hand, finding the parents." He said, hoping to change the subject.
"Yeah... I already got to rescue Caleb when he was five... or were you six?" Tam asked twisting slightly to look up at him. "Oh well.. you were an adorable little guy anyhow. Earning a few more brownie points by helping rescue the future in laws wouldn't hurt.... Same goes for Dante... right Tay?" she asked, her eyes slightly narrowed.
Dante shot her a wicked grin and she cleared her throat. He sighed and the grin faltered slightly but remained mostly intact . "Yeah... having a little something extra to rub Summer's nose in would help. No offense man." he said shooting this Summer a smirk.
The temperature in the room suddenly dropped several degrees and the air went still, then a harried whispering sounded. A moment later the faint image of a tall, statuesque woman with long curly black hair appeared between the two Caleb's and the temperature went back to almost normal. She glanced at each of them, one eyebrow quirked. "What the hell have you lot done now?"
"Wasn't us." Dion said from his spot, seeing Marilee. "Well, I don't think it was us anyway... Damn, I really hope it wasn't us when we did in the guy..." He said, glancing at Cal. Cal looked thoughtful a moment, then shook his head.
"We've lost our parents, some how, Marilee." Teirnan said. "Then these four showed up, from another dimension. Another Caleb and Winter...and Caleb's fiancee, and Winter's husband..." Teirnan added.
"We're trying to locate Dad." Sixteen year old Winter said. "We know they took mum..." She added.
"More ghosts .. cool." Dante said softly. "You're family get togethers are way more interesting than mine... and no bloodshed yet..." he said softly.
Tam sent a glare his way and he grinned at her innocently. "Umm... Ignore Dante as well as you can... If you can.." she said softly. "We'd like to help locate Saffron and Matt... "
Marilee snorted softly, her gaze going back to the elder Caleb. "Alright... I'll go see what I can find out about Mattie... " she said then looked to Annie. "See if you can find out anything about where Saffron went to, hun..." she said lightly then turned a look to Cal and Dion. "And see that the rest of you try to stay out of trouble... Just this once.." she added with a soft smirk before vanishing.
Dion and Cal both snickered, one coming from Teirnan as well. "Boy, you think she'd know us by now." Teirnan said. "So, you think dad's going to notice the fresh grave?" He asked Dion and Cal.
"I should probably rebury the fucker out in the woods some where." Cal replied with a shrug. He glanced toward the patio door, looking out, then shrugged again noticing the looks his Winter and Summer were giving him.
Annie had already disappeared. "So where did Annie come from again?" Caleb asked.
"Mum and Dad adopted her in England, on a case." Teirnan said. "Just before they got married. " He added.
"Oh and don't forget Joey... wonder where he is." Cal added, glancing around. Both Winter's suddenly giggled and Caleb raised an eyebrow.
"Joey?" Dante asked, his grin growing even wider. "Another adopted sibling? Another ghost by chance?" he asked gleefully and Tam smacked his arm.
"Win... you really need to get a better grip on him..." She said, still glaring at Dante who continued to try looking innocent with a shit eater grin plastered on his face. "I don't know how you survived living with him and your family while planning the wedding. My dad met him once, took me aside and told me if I dated him he was disowning me... and THAT's coming from a MacDonnell. I would've expected him to just shoot him or at least beat the crap out of him... And my dad is a tad easier going then yours." she said and Dante palmed a hand over his heart.
"Nate didn't want you to date me? You mean .." Dante faked a couple sniffs. " I'm not welcome in your family, Tee?!"
"You'll be lucky if I can keep you alive long enough to stand by me at my wedding." Tam answered dryly. "It may require huge amounts of duct tape and a really good gag..." she snorted softly and jerked a thumb in Win's direction. "And a generous helping of wife and child to earn you a bit of leeway... Assuming she's still putting up with your demented demonic ass by then..."
"Joey is most definitely NOT an adopted sibling." The older Winter said, still trying to get her grin and the giggle that wanted to escape under control.
"No, he doesn't make a good baby sitter either..." Dion said, a smirk of his own in place. "Mum picked him up in Texas, shortly before she met dad. And while him and dad get a long...well...Joey's never been one to keep us out of trouble like Marilee and Annie. In fact...he's done his fair share of ENCOURAGING me and Cal to get into things...like...the paint, in the living room..." Dion said, looking at Cal.
Cal was quiet for a moment, before he started laughing softly. "Shit...yeah...the can of white paint...Dion decided to...advance his career in abstract art...by using the living room as his canvas...Walls, fire place, floor, sofa, chair...but it was the smiley face on the ceiling that amused the shit out of dad..." Cal said.
"That's Joey..." The older Winter said from next to Dante. "I remember when he helped Summer and I drive dad's hearse...I was four...Summer was six..."
The younger Winter giggled. "He always knew the best hiding places when playing hide and seek..." She added.
"Oh fuck..." Teir replied to that. "Eight hours, everyone was looking for Winter...even the sheriff and his deputies were called in..."
"Yeah, and we didn't exactly make the search easier on them." Dion added, with a fond, but wicked smirk.
~~
Tam looked from the others to her Caleb then gave his hand a soft squeeze before leaning into him. "Bad case of the only child blues setting in?" she asked quietly, ignoring the continued chatter of the others for the moment, letting Dante enjoy the moment of family comraderie... by the sounds of it the Hogan siblings would have been great friends with him if they'd all grown up at the same time and place.
Caleb smirked slightly. "Nah, I'm not exactly an only child any more." He said softly, wrapping his arms around her. "Just finding it...different I guess. I mean, I did grow up alone, other then Gavin, but this...I'm not sure I could have handled..."
Winter heard him and glanced at him from Dante's arms. "Bad enough growing up with Summer..." She said softly with a smirk.
Annie suddenly appeared again. Dion got up from his chair. "Any word, Annie?" He asked.
Annie shook her head. "Not really, except that she killed a few of the men that were involved in taking her...but they wouldn't say anything...Maybe dad will no more."
"Doubtful...how ever they managed to separate them, they did that for the soul reason of nabbing mum." Cal said. "Dad'll just end up being incredibly pissed." He added.
"At a LOT of things..."Teirnan said from his spot.
Cal snorted. "The moment he gets back here, he'll know Dion and I did that fucker in...I'm not going to try and lie to him, but the fucker DID try to attack US first." Cal said.
"Who's the leader of this group?" Caleb asked. Teirnan, Summer and Winter all pointed at both Cal and Dion.
"See," Teirnan said. "While Cal's the middle child, he's closet to dad. And Dion...well, he's just a natural born leader..."
"It's the UnSeelie and Drow in me." Dion said with a wicked smirk.
Tam snorted. "Great.. another faerie... that makes three. and nice combos too.. Faerie demon, faerie drow, and faerie witch... " she said, rolling her eyes slightly. "And not one of us has the wings..." she said and
Dante cleared his throat. "Hey.. I got wings... just ... not at the moment... I could shift.."
Tam held up a hand quickly. "No.... no, Tay really... thats fine.."
Dante grinned and hugged winter a bit tighter, his chin resting on her shoulder. "Aww.. come on, Tamara... I won't go the FULL Dante ... just half..."
Tam gave a snort and crossed her arms. "No thanks... save it for the rescue."
"Actually, " Dion said after Tamara's comments about wings and dropped his glamour, stretching a pair of dark blue and red wings. "Eh, got it from HIM." Dion said simply, before replacing the glamour, which really only hid the wings.
The soft whispering sound returned, then stopped for a moment before Marilee reappeared."I found him. He's down but not out... He should be strong enough to open a rift soon. If you think you'll be alright, I'll go scout around and keep an eye on him for now..." she said. "Unless one of you wants to go get him.. but you know how he feels about being 'rescued'..."
Dion and Cal turned at Marilee's words and looked at each other. "Well it wouldn't be a rescue PERSAY..." Dion said. "I could go get him...Did you tell him they took mum?" He asked her.
Marilee snorted softly. "Didn't you hear him yelling? He started cursing loud enough to let every bad guy with in ten miles know where he was and that he was still alive.. Not to mention the fact that he insisted on going after them despite the fact that he couldn't even sit up on his own... " she said then sighed softly. "I got him to lower the volume, but that was about it... By now he's probably somehow managed to get to his feet... or will be by the time you get there. He's about dead center of Flanagan's Marsh... by that poor ugly old tree that every body believes is haunted by Flanagan himself." she looked at them then sighed. "They hung him from it... He's on the ground now, thanks to me, but the landing wasn't a good one..."
All five of the kids exchanged a look. "Oh, that was smart of them..." Cal muttered darkly, rolling his eyes. "I got him, Dion." Cal said, before turning and going back outside, opening a shadow portal to the tree they all knew, having played there some times as kids.
~~
Dion watched him go, before shaking his head. "Well, Annie said mum took a few down before they manage to take her, but she couldn't get anything out of them..." Dion told Marilee.
"Any idea who was behind this...?" Caleb asked from his spot.
"The man who attacked us here, by himself," Dion said, having little Winter and Teirnan put in that that was a mistake, "Was Alexander Knight..."
"Ah...Knight...must be related to Honnor Knight." Caleb said.
"Who's Honnor Knight?" Teirnan asked. Even Summer and younger Winter looked confused.
Caleb raised an eyebrow. "You don't know who Honnor Knight is..." He said, and shook his head.
"I do, but, that's just because." Dion said. "And Cal knows..."
"You know.... I really hate hearing that name... It always seems to pop up when there's major trouble. I feel so sorry for his brother." Tam said simply. "I mean the name ' Knight' is right up there with ' Ravenscourt', 'Right' and 'LiVed'..."
Dante snickered softly. "Tam's going to jinx us... " he said softly. "How much do you guys want to bet at least ONE of those other names in involved too...?"
"My college account, actually." Dion said. "It's just a matter of deciding which one it is...probably Ravenscourt, possibly Right..." He said, watching Teirnan, Summer and Winter shudder at that name. "Of course, Alandra could be involved too..." Dion added. Summer and Winter both hissed at him to shut up. Dion wouldn't have said it if Cal had still been there, but he noticed Caleb's eyes darkened at the mention of Alandra. "Ah..." Dion said, eyeing Caleb. "You too, eh?"
"Yeah." Caleb said simply. "When'd she kidnap Cal here?"
"When he was six months old...She some how managed to escape being killed by dad and granddad, but still..." Dion said.
Tam leaned against Caleb, her arm going around him. "Now there's a lady I wouldn't mind another shot at... I'm rather tempted to sic Dante on her... " she said then with a breath added. "The FULL Dante.."
Dante grinned, cackling softly. "Now your talking.. . welcome to the dark side, babe.. Took you fucking long enough.."
Tam just snorted softly. "I'm just rather happy that Connor's name so rarely pops up in these messes... I guess he limits his insane plots to our family. "
"Jinx jinx jinx..." Dante chanted softly and Tam shot him a look.
"Well, regardless of who's involved, they picked the wrong family to fuck with." Dion said. "Mr. Knight didn't even KNOW we've all come into our abilities and have already trained in them."
"Yeah, not one of us is a fucking push over..." Teirnan said from his spot.
Caleb and the older Winter both laughed softly, exchanging a look.
