The Prophecy : Part One   by Ruex

The chamber was dark, musty at most, unused for many hundreds of years. Three women sat on stools around weaving looms, tediously at work, weaving intricate patterns. They were not bothered by the sudden appearance of a silver haired man who threw open the doors of the chamber, turning his violet eyes to look around the sparse chamber.

"He comes," One woman said, her black hair tousled and tangled.

"To seek answers." The blond woman next to her said, while continuing to work.

"But will he like what he hears?" Asked the red head at on the other side of the blonde woman.

All three of the women turned their face toward the man, and it was visible to see all three were blind.

Honnor Knight eyed the three creatures before coming down the steps into the room. Getting to this chamber, had not been easy. "You know what I've come for." Honnor said softly.

"Yes." All three women answered. "We know all."

"Then tell me what I want to know." Honnor replied fiercely.

The redhead inclined her head and asked. "Where will your loyalties lie when you've heard the answer?"

"Do you seek the answers for your own revenge or to avenge your Ashleen?" The blonde asked.

The raven haired woman turned her head back to her work, unlike her sisters, and said softly. "He already holds a seed of darkness in him. Revealing what he wants, will sat in motion, terrible and awesome things."

"Set in motion, but not achieve." The red head answered, turning back to her own work. "There will be those to avenge and defeat the evil to come."

"Tell me!" Honnor sneered.

Only the blonde stayed her hand, watching him. She smiled coldly and said. "Very well, Honnor Knight. Let us set into motion your own destiny and tie to it, the others that will rise above you to be greater, to be more powerful. Those who will stand between the totally destruction and salvation." She produced a crystal orb the size of the palm of her hand as Honnor snarled at her words.

She held it up, a light seeming to fill it from no where, and blew on it. A mist with in the orb began to spin and sparkle.

"You will build your army, you will find your way, to achieve your greatest heart's desire. You will fight, and you will succeed. But be warned, Honnor Knight. Seven children of light will step up to challenge you, and the battle against them will be long and bloody. They will be powerful, far more then even you, and it will take all you can to out wit them." The blonde said.

The red head stopped what she was doing and snatched the orb. "One will you be your own brother, Justice, who will step forward to bring you down at the height of your power. Two will be Azreal and Loki, the key and lock. These two, so powerful even they wont know their own reaches of power. Born to an elemental of Light and Dark and his mate. To ensure your success, place one with the Gate Keeper, himself. But be warned, Loki will stay true to his nature." The red head smiled frighteningly as if she enjoyed that bit in particular.

The raven haired one took the orb next. "The Lady herself will pose as much a problem for you as your brother."

"Lady?" Honnor hissed.

But the raven haired continued with out answering. "A female with white hair will aid The Lady, Azreal and Loki. Be warned, she will be the downfall of your son, Lucien. A witch may prove to be as dangerous to your plans. And beware of the shadowed one..."

"Is that all?" Honnor asked.

"You will face these seven, three times. The first you will believe you have achieved your goal, the lock will be in your grasp. But you will not die then."

"By who's hand do I die?" Honnor questioned.

All three women smiled but said nothing, before turning back to their work.

"WHO?!" Honnor demanded.

The red head answered softly while pulling her thread. "He will look like the woman you love."

"Give me names!" Honnor hissed, but the women ignored him. After a moment, Honnor spun on his heel and started for the door. As he started through the doors, the blonde called after him.

"Careful how you tend the fire, Honnor Knight. It will burn you." He heard the raven haired and red head laughing and three all three snarl, before sweeping from the room.

A man stood outside, waiting for him. his black hair in a pony tail. His face was sharp, angular, with high cheek bones. His eyes were a mahogany brown and peering at Honnor with curiosity and amusement. "So what did they say?" He asked.

"A bunch of nonsense. I need to know more about the lock and key!" Honnor snarled.
"Then go and see the Spider Queen, Arcanina. She'll know more..." The man said.

Honnor shuddered at the thought. "I have no desire to be caught in her web, Rhy."

Rhy Coronia chuckled softly and started walking away from Honnor. "Suit yourself Honnor, but Arcanina would know what these three wont tell you..."

Honnor considered his words rang true. He stormed past Rhy, saying. "Then you're coming as well."

"As you wish, master." Rhy replied back simple.

Justice Knight tore off his gloves and sat down in the chair across from the usually beautiful red headed woman as she shuffled a deck of round cards before her. "You know why I've come, Jocelin." He said softly, gently.

"I know." Jocelin said as she shuffled, with out looking at Justice. "Estehl has already told me."

"He's gone to find the Fates, Jocelin, I need to know what he wants. What he's after." Justice replied.

"Do you seek to kill your own brother that much?" Jocelin asked looking at Justice with a quizzical look.

"He threatens so much, Jocelin. I can't stand around and watch him do this..." Justice replied with a pained expression.

Jocelin sighed. "I can not tell you what the Fates tell him. I can only read your future, Justice, no one elses." She sat her cards face down on the table between them.

Justice reached over a hand and placed it on her. "I need all the help I can get to stop him." He said softly, looking at her with distressed violet eyes, identical to his brother. Justice Knight, was Honnor's twin. A mirror image of the the other. He was also the older of the two, born two hours before Honnor. "Please Jocelin, for what ever sake of good, you may have in your heart..."

Jocelin sighed again and picked up the cards once more. She sprayed them in her fingers and blew on them gently before shuffling one more time and began laying down Justice Knight's Hand of Fate.

The first card she laid down was the Chariot. But it was soon followed by Tower card. She frowned. "You'll suffer defeat, Justice." She said softly, not looking at him. Justice only indicated for her to continue.

She laid down the Ten of Swords. "Betrayal. Yours, or his, I do not knw..."
"My brother and I have betray, each other." Justice said softly. "His turning to the darkness, mine, vowing to stop him at what ever cost..."

Jocelin suddenly drew in a sharp breath as she laid the next card down. The Death card stared up at them. She looked at him suddenly, but Justice only smiled sadly, as if he'd excepted it before seeing the card.

With a trembling hand, she laid down the next card and breathed softly. The Judgment card was played on top of the Death card. She laid out three more cards. The Empress, The Lovers, and the Hanged Man. She stared at the cards a long moment, in silence.

"Well?" Justice asked gently, bemused.

Jocelin looked up at him. "When the height of Honnor's powers come, you will oppose him. You will not be successful the first time. You will...die to be reborn once again, to stand against your brother. The strength you need to defeat him in the end, will come from a loved one, but you will have to bide your time until your powerful enough to defeat him." She looked at him sadly. "You will die in a fortnight, Justice..."

Justice breathed deeply, closing his eyes for a moment, then nodded. "I suspected as much, Jocelin."

Jocelin took his hands. "But you will be reborn, and you will avenge your death and defeat your brother, Justice, I'm positive of it."

"When have your cards ever been wrong, Jocelin?" Justice asked with a slight grin as he began to stand.

"One more thing, Justice..." Jocelin said softly. "There will be a child of fire, born from the woman Honnor will pine after...that child will be the one to help you defeat your brother...but the child will be very special, and most be kept alive at all costs..." She whispered.

Justice studied her for a moment, the nodded. With out another word, he turned and headed out of the room.

Outside the small apartment in the palace, waiting for him, was Estehl Errin. He was leaning against the wall, with his arms crossed over his chest and staring off down the hall with an almost lost expression.

"And it was my fortune she was reading..." Justice commented upon seeing Estehl's face.

Estehl smirked slightly, turning his head to look at Justice. "You knew as well as I did, what was going to come out in those cards..." He said softly.

"It never hurts to get a second opinion." Justice shrugged.
"Indeed." Estehl answered softly, watching his friend. "And what, if anything more did she tell you?"

Justice told Estehl exactly what Jocelin had said. Estehl shook his head, coming away from the wall. "I can't convince you not to go after him, can I?" Estehl asked softly.

Justice smiled sardonically. "We've been through this Estehl... I vowed to stop him and I never break my word."

"Even if it costs you your life?" Estehl asked.

"There are was to assure what Jocelin said." Justice replied. "You know these ways...I'll be counting on you, my friend."

"Then I give you, my word, Justice." Estehl answered.

Justice nodded. "When the time comes. You'll know the right time..."

Arcanina ran her finger over her hourglass and looked up at Honnor Knight. Her gaze was blank, but leisurely. "What you ask of me, Honnor Knight, comes at great price...perhaps to great for you."

"Nothing is beyond me, Arcanina..." Honnor replied back with a chilly smile.

Arcanina chuckled, watching him. "Do you have it, Arcanina?" He asked as he moved about her little suspended room.

"I do." Arcanina asked. "As do my sisters...why haven't you asked them?"

"Because Aisleen, Aerith and I are not on speaking terms, Arcanina, you know that." Honnor replied.

Arcanina smiled chillingly. "Very well, Honnor, I shall tell you want you want to know. Then I shall I tell you the price to be paid for such knowledge."

Honnor turned toward her, not about to argue with the Spider Queen. He stood motionlessly, wainting to hear she had to say.

Arcanina picked her sewing, starting her work first, making Honnor make wait for a moment, before saying. "You will fall in love again, Honnor. Not for another hundred years of course. But you will fall in love. She will be fae. And she will mirror Aisleen in image and personality. It is she who is the key to your success." She looked up at him.

Honnor perked with interest. Arcanina continued, turning back to her work. "But you will not have her...The fates have told you that the lock and key to the Gate Keeper's full release will be born to an Illusion Elemental, manipulator of light and dark, and almost time. They are rare, and they are powerful..."

"I know this, Arcanina." Honnor sneered.

Arcanina smiled at her work, but it was still cold. "You're Lilian, the woman you fall in love with, will be his. And it will be to her, that the key and lock are born to. Be warned, Honnor. Lilian will be the Daughter of the Seal...You do know what the Seal is..."

"Yes yes, if the Seal is broken, the dead will walk the earth, with no command." Honnor gestured.

"And you know who the Daughter of the Seal is..."

"The guardian, yes I know, as long as she lives, or produces the next guardian, the seal is solid..." He gave her a look

Arcanina just looked amused. "Every second child born to the Daughter of the Seal, is the next guardian, the next Daughter." She waited patiently for Honnor to put it together.

"So not only will the child be the lock to Abandon's prison, but the guardian of the Seal..." Honnor's violet eyes light up spectacularly. "Abandon would take control of the dead souls...and-"

"The end of days, so to say." Arcanina said softly. "Ensure your success, by placing the Daughter of the Seal in the Gate Keeper's servitude and you will see your prize, Honnor..."

"What is the price of this knowledge, Arcanina?" Honnor asked.

She sit her sewing down and looked at him. "To come when I call you, and do my biding, MY orders, once with out comment. The time to be named when I chose..."

"A favor?"

"A debt of life." Arcanina smiled, before turning her hourglass over.

Honnor had until the sand fell completely through to leave her cavern, before her spiders attacked. Honnor bowed, almost mockingly and left, climbing back down from the suspended room with good speed.

Arcanina watched him go, smirking to herself. She hadn't told him everything. She hadn't told him that the fates and some devine power had a sense of humor about this future child...That although would still be the next guardian of the seal, it would be a boy child.

She hoped that this would throw enough kink into Honnor's plans for the other factors of her vision came into play. These other powerful persons to be that would bring about Honnor Knight's downfall. And for some wrongs to be righted.
